Firearm Licensing


THERE IS NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY FOR NEW OR RENEWAL APPLICATIONS

    If you need to renew an LTC or FID license, please fill out all pages of the application. Drop the application off at the front desk of the police department along with a check or money order for $100 paid to the City of Haverhill and a copy of your passport or birth certificate. There is no fee for applicants 70 years old or older. You will receive a phone call when your card arrives at the police department.

    If you are applying for a new license to carry you must complete a Massachusetts certified firearms safety course first. For a new firearms identification card, you must complete a hunter safety course first. Once that is completed fill out all pages of the application and drop it off at the front desk of the police station along with a check or money order for $100 paid to the City of Haverhill a copy of your safety certificate and a copy of your passport or birth certificate. Within five business days of receiving your application you will receive a call to make an appointment to have your fingerprints taken.
